Rose Noir is Ben Gorham's modern and unconventional variation on love and the Damask Rose. As a classic symbol of love and devotion the rose has been reinterpreted - a very specific type of rose: The Rosa Damascena traditionally used in perfumes and one of the best of its kind. Made powerful and modern once again Gorham has cleverly added greater depth by darkening his character. Like love itself Rose Noir is also very ambiguous: a sweet and radiant fresh glossy rose pink with a touch of tart grapefruit and fresh freesia which with the addition of musk and civet achieves a subtly dirty note as well as an intense intense animalic quality from its musk base .Rose Noir is exceptional and unique - just like love itself.
