Penhaligon's Quercus Cologne 100 ml is a unisex chypre Eau de Cologne. Created in 1996, named after the Latin word for Oak, it is inspired by grandeur and majesty. From acorns, quercite was extracted, a precious substance believed by alchemists to be rich in mysterious aphrodisiac properties. It opens with a surprisingly fresh and citrusy start, which becomes woody upon contact with the skin. A genderless and ageless essence. Quercus declares itself with a bright burst of citrus and basil, supported in the heart by an accord of jasmine, cardamom, and lily of the valley—sweet, spicy, and extremely delicate. The green of the basil persists in the base notes, which are built on surprisingly resilient musk and sandalwood. These are warmed with musk and patchouli to create an elegant, strong, and energizing cologne.
