With Sogni I have told my love for Japan, my memories of past travels, my passion for the literature of Kawabata, the films of Kurosawa, and bonsai. I tried to tell a new story with a warm woody scent, my Japanese dream. One day, a long time ago, I thought or dreamed I could create the perfect woody perfume, dove the different woods would tell of time, the flow of life itself, once again a challenge, a fragrance that could be unique, exciting and engaging. Sogni is the realization of this wish of mine, an immediate experience, incredibly close to reality and to the nature of things. The opening notes of Sogni are tatami wood and Japanese pine needles, we are in an ancient ryokan in Kyoto and the rain has stopped falling. A bowl of warm rice is next to us to remind us of the simplicity of life, its purity. Our attention is drawn to the nose by the green, clear and transparent note of a bamboo forest, the floral note of Peony is an emotional haiku.
