Frederic Malle Bois de Santal Candle is a woody candle. One day, as a child, Frédéric Malle was in a Parisian apartment, in front of a large sandalwood Buddha statue. Its scent had spread throughout the apartment and cast its spell; young Malle was fascinated by it. Later, the memory haunted him, until he requested that it be made as a candle fragrance; only then could he finally travel again, all the way to India and back, from his living room.
