Andy Warhols Silver Factory marks the starting point of the new Bond No.9 project: a collection of perfumes dedicated to Andy Warhol. Featured on the fragrance packaging is a graphic inspired by one of the pop art artist's most famous images: a bold and recolored interpretation of the original Campbells Soup Can. Soup or perfume? However they both smell good! Warhol expressed the desire to know a company that was interested in buying his aura. Here it is proposed in liquid form. Bond No.9 creates fragrances completely inspired by the city of New York and also for the collection of pop Warhol perfumes the focus is: Andy Warhol's favorite New York places. The first of all is the Silver Factory, also known simply as the Factory. Used from 1964 to 1968 as Warhol's original studio and retreat to hang out, it was a building on East 47th Street that acquired its own unique image thanks to walls covered in aluminum foil. Walls that evoked mirrors: emblem of the narcissism that pervaded those years. The Silver Factory was like a galvanizing forum for artists actors directors debutants activists impostors and misfits and in some way everyone contributed to its creativity. It is precisely in this place that Warhol, avant-garde director, progenitor of pop art and all-round superstar, emerged. The meeting point between Warhol and Bond No.9 is New York. If Andy Warhol were a mirror of his time, he would also reflect the vitality and creativity of his adopted city: exactly like Bond No.9. The alliance with Warhol for Bond No.9 represents a new mission: to amplify the artist's dynamism by sharing his vision not only through a line of perfumes but also through a different type of art: that of the sense of smell and a modern interpretation of the smells of club laboratories of the New York streets that Warhol frequented and made famous. Bond No.9 Silver Factory is a blend of soft and smoky intertwined incense (a key smell of the 60s) woody resins and seductive amber. Distinguishing features... the heart of jasmine, iris and violet: a perfume that Warhol was particularly passionate about. These vaguely dissonant floral essences combine to evoke a metallic effect: that of liquefied silver. And for a delicate fresh breath Bond No.9 has thrown in a handful of cedar wood. The thin bottle has a silver bottom with a visible texture and features a unique graphic inspired by the design of the Campbells Soup Can with strong colors as in the screen prints created from Wahrol on the 1965 Campbell Soup Can: dissonant light blue and purple squares and the distinctive Campbell logo in mustard yellow. Since this is a goodness inspired perfume bottle the Bond No.9 name and logo have been replaced with Andy Warhol's in place of the gold Campbell medallion. A pack example of meta-design: the sharing of Warhol's artistic reproduction of the famous soup can and its recycling for its new use as a consumer product. A luxury product with a liquid content! Furthermore, taking inspiration from the indication on the Campbell label: concentrated soup, the Bond No.9 Silver Factory fragrance has a fragrance concentration of 28%: between eau de parfum and perfume extract.
