Björn Axén was founded in Stockholm in 1963, when its founder returned from Paris — where he trained under the master Monsieur Alexandre — with the intention of bringing a new idea of hair care to Northern Europe, characterized by technical rigor and aesthetic sensitivity. In 1984, the brand launched its own line of products, receiving the royal patent from the Court of Sweden in the same year. After the founder's passing, the brand's direction passed to his students Johan Hellström and Peter Hägelstam, who preserved its artisanal identity while building an international presence. Innovation, sustainability, and quality remain the three pillars of production, entirely Swedish.
