It is named after the famous clubs of St James’s frequented by exclusive gentlemen, regular clients of the Truefitt Salon. It is loosely inspired by “Exhibition Bouquet,” expressly formulated for the “The Great Exhibition” of 1851, almost a monument to the cultural and technological achievements of the Victorian era, in which Walter Truefitt participated as an enthusiastic exhibitor. Clubman was first reformulated in 1880 and, more recently, in 1999. Olfactory family: citrus musky.
