Mezel

Maison of niche perfumery founded in 2024 between Morocco and Paris, Mezel is the olfactory project of Sophia Gyé-Jacquot, a Franco-Moroccan entrepreneur who chose to translate her dual cultural identity into an original perfumery language. The creative heart of the maison draws from the rituals of Moroccan tradition — mint tea, orange blossom water, the date of ceremonies — to reinterpret them with the grammar of great French perfumery. The compositions, entrusted to the noses of Jérôme Di Marino, Mathilde Bijaoui, and Julie Massé, weave together oriental spices, deep woods, and floral notes of Parisian school, resulting in contemporary, textured fragrances with great evocation. Each bottle is refillable, made with at least 20% recycled glass, and the formulas are vegan and produced in France: sustainability is not an option, but an integral part of the project from day one.

The Mezel selection from Papique

The six pieces that make up our Mezel selection cover an olfactory range that spans from woody-amber families to the most unexpected floral and fruity variations, with creations capable of surprising even those who have long been familiar with the niche world. Those approaching the maison for the first time will find a clear common thread: each fragrance starts from a familiar ingredient — a fruit, an herb, a ritual — and leads to entirely unexpected outcomes. Those who already know Mezel can explore the different sensibilities of the three noses involved, capturing nuances and contrasts between one creation and another.

We invite you to explore the selection with the same curiosity that drives this maison: let the fragrance tell you where it wants to take you.
