Maison Berger

Maison Berger Paris is a French manufacturer with documented roots dating back to 1898, when Maurice Berger — a pharmacy preparer — developed a catalytic diffusion system originally designed to purify the air in hospital environments. From that technical insight, the famous catalytic lamp was born, which throughout the twentieth century evolved from a simple functional tool into an object of visual and olfactory culture, reinterpreted by designers and cherished by prominent figures in art and fashion. In 2018, after 120 years under the name Lampe Berger, the maison adopted its current identity to reflect the full breadth of its creative universe. Production remains rooted in Normandy; the fragrance compositions are created with the contribution of Master Perfumers, in dialogue with the traditions of Grasse. The brand is recognized with the label Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant, a testament to French artisanal excellence.

The Maison Berger selection at Papique

The seventeen items available in the catalog cover the entire repertoire of the maison: catalytic lamps — the historical heart of the brand — scented candles, reed diffusers, electric diffusers, and fragrance refills. The compositions range from floral, woody, fresh, to gourmand notes, designed to characterize the home environment with precision and discretion. Those approaching the catalytic system for the first time will find a natural entry point in the selection; those already familiar with the brand can explore the fragrance variants and collectible formats.

We invite you to browse the selection: each piece carries with it an olfactory story and an aesthetic signature that is worth discovering at your leisure.
