Byredo Oud Immortel Eau de parfum The duo Oud Immortel and Accord Oud are both created around Oud, a certain type of wood that, due to its use in traditional incense, has taken on great cultural significance and has had its existence recorded in one of the oldest written texts in the world - the Indian Veda in Sanskrit. When the wood of the Aquilaria is infected by a particular fungus, it defends itself by saturating its trunk with a dark, highly odorous resin. This dark wood, Oud or Agarwood, carries with it a complex fragrance that is unlike almost any other natural ingredient. Oud Immortel is a woody fragrance dove Patchouli and Papyrus blend to create a certain smokiness. Tobacco leaves and musk add depth and complexity while incense and Rosewood lead to an elegant and ambery finish.
